Ekin, first of all, can you tell our readers about the geographic location of Yancheng Port in China? Is your port able to handle heavylift and project cargoes, and what are the advantages of using the Port of Yancheng?
Firstly, thanks for having us. This is Ekin from China Yancheng Port Group. We are a seaport and a Logistics Company. We are a comprehensive port & logistics with a 3,300 professional Logistics Staff Team.
China Yancheng Port is located on the east coast of China; 250 Nautical Miles from Shanghai Port and 120 Nautical Miles from Lianyungang Port.
China Yancheng Port has 4 terminals alongside the seacoast : Dafeng Terminal, Sheyang Terminal, Binhai Terminal, and Xiangshui Terminal.
Our terminal advantages are as below:
For Dafeng Terminal: This terminal is specialized for General & OOG container operations. There are 40 productive berths, 15 berths with a capacity of over 10 thousand tons each, a yard area over 2 million square meters, and a grain storage area reaching to 123,000 square meters.
Dafeng is especially suited for stacking timber, wind turbine blades, equipment, nickel ore, iron ore, sulfur, commercial vehicles, containers, sand and stone, and dozens of other types of cargo.
For Sheyang Terminal: This terminal has 4 berths with a capacity of over 10 thousand tons each, a yard area over 881,000 square meters, and a storage area of 50,000 square meters.
Sheyand is especially suited for Green Energy Equipment, such as wind blades, due to the Golden Wind Company located here.
For Binahai Terminal: This terminal is especially suited for the import and export of automobiles. It has 2 general berths and a capacity of handling 100,000 tons vessels, a yard area of 1 million square meters, a storage area of 107,000 square meters, and 140,000 square meter vehicle yard.
For Xiangshui Terminal: This terminal focuses especially on bulk, heavy lift and bulk cargo transport. It has 7 productive berths, a yard area of 700,000 square meters, and a storage area of 320,000 square meters. Shipping companies such as UHL, BBC CHARTERING, and COSCO continue to increase their monthly wind energy shipments.
Do you have heavylift cranes available in the port? Are you able to provide logistics service if cargo needs transport along the Yangtze River?
The 4 terminals of the China Yancheng Port Group has both container and bulk cargo cranes. We manage RoRo shipping via our own vessels, such as vsl “Da feng gang li ming hao“ & “Da feng gang he shun hao“ and our container ship “Shen feng zhi chun“. In addition, we have full service across all ports alongside the Yangtze River.
Is our understanding correct that the Port of Yancheng also has a logistics division that is acting as a project freight forwarder helping local and overseas customers?

How many years did you work for the Port of Yancheng, and why did you choose a career in logistics, Ekin?
I am glad to work at the China Yancheng Port for 15 years. Yancheng is beautiful place alongside China’s east coast. Also, this is my home town. I grew up alongside the Yangtze River. I also am familiar with the Shanghai Port. We always work closely with each other.
How is the market right now, and how do you view the rest of 2026?
It’s clear that the shipping market is always getting better year by year. Cargo with products made in China are always increasing their exchange with the world market. We provide a one stop logistics service to help that increase continue and grow.
